St. Vincent Vinyl Comparison

We are getting questions about the difference between Standard and Deluxe editions of St. Vincent’s next album. For the extra $7.00, the Deluxe Edition includes the same pink vinyl and poster in the Standard Edition. Exclusive to the Deluxe Ed. is a much larger booklet, a sticker sheet, and a different label on the record. The Deluxe comes in a clear PVC jacket.

Please note that if this is the same PVC jacket usually used for picture discs, it’s 99% guaranteed to split. We can put a man on the moon, but…

Phish – A Live One side breaks

A couple people who follow us on Twitter asked for more details.

Tracklists on our website don’t support two-sided discs (good thing laser discs are gone). Above is a screen shot of how the tracks are broken up by side. Note that “Tweezer” was too long to fit on a single LP side.

Details on the red and blue are not yet available. We don’t know if the records are solid colors, split, swirl, splatter, or with a piece of the Utica Memorial Auditorium floor embedded.

STORY-TELLING WITH CHILDREN’S AUTHOR LAYNE CASE!

Layne Case, owner of AMITY Publications of Barrington, NH, and author of the ”Charlie” book series, will be holding a book signing and story-telling at Bull Moose, 419 South Broadway, Salem, NH on September 26, 2015 at 10am.

Layne, a native of Salem, NH, began her career as a children’s author in 2007 when she published “Charlie,” her first children’s book written 40 years ago. She now has five ”Charlie”books and offers writing classes, teaching children what it takes to become an author. Her company offers publishing services as well. Many of her students are now published authors and will be visiting that day.

This event will also include a visit from “Tucker”, the real dog who is a character in Layne’s latest book “Charlie and His Lost Friend”.

All of the “Charlie” books as well as children’s books written by the young authors will be available for purchase.

MEET AUTHOR Z.RIDER!

MEET AUTHOR Z.RIDER!
MEET & GREET/SIGNING/COLORING PARTY!
SALEM, NH BULL MOOSE!
FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 4TH 7PM-8PM!

Z. Rider’s first love is horror, and her first horror novel, SUCKERS was released on February 17, 2015. INSYLUM, followed in June, and MAN MADE MURDER, book one of the Blood Road trilogy, comes out in October, all from Dark Ride Publishing.

MAN MADE MURDER, will be available for purchase early at the Salem meet & greet!

Bio:
Z. believes that authors have the biggest stake in the success of their books and are therefore the best people to control the publishing of their books. She also believes that fear is a powerful and universal emotion, that our fears are inexorably bound to all that we stand to lose—from the mundane to the things we hold most precious. That’s the horror Z most enjoys reading; that’s the horror she strives to write.
Z. Rider spent her formative years hanging out in billiard halls, rec rooms, and wherever else she could find a pool table—not that it’s made her an especially good player, but it is great for shutting up the noise in her head. She used to test air-to-ground missiles for the Air Force. And she enjoys being crammed against the front of a stage in small, dark clubs across the Southeast while her favorite hard-working, underrated bands kill her over and over with their music.
Born and raised in southern New Hampshire, these days Z. lives in the mountains of northeast Tennessee with her husband, two dogs, and a skeleton named Knuckles.

Affiliations:
Z. is a member of the Horror Writers Association and the Alliance of Independent Authors.

Chadwick Stokes Live Acoustic Performance Friday Feb. 6th

A typical musician wouldn’t travel across the country by hopping freight trains or playing shows inside fans’ living rooms throughout North America and Europe after selling out arenas like Madison Square Garden (for three consecutive nights), but Chadwick Stokes is anything but your typical musician.
Since forming his first band with two college friends in 1996, Chadwick Stokes has paved a path of independence, advocacy and social consciousness that’s impacted every aspect of his artistic life. In addition to fronting the bands State Radio and Dispatch, Stokes is also a co-founder of Calling All Crows, a non-profit dedicated to bringing bands and fans together to create change through hands-on service and activism. Calling All Crows has raised over $550,000 and invested more than 30,000 hours of service in local communities across North America and Europe.
Stokes will release his sophomore solo album, The Horse Comanche, which was coproduced by Sam Beam of Iron and Wine and producer Brian Deck (Modest Mouse, Gomez, Iron and Wine) on February 3, 2015.

Catch him live at the Portsmouth, NH Bull Moose on Friday February 6th at 7PM for this special acoustic performance!
