Local Music top 15 for the week ending 1/19

As we predicted, Ghost of Paul Revere grabbed the #1 spot this week. Let’s take a quick at how they did it.

They worked hard, god really good, and recorded a great album. It was produced, engineered, and mixed by Jonathan Wyman and mastered by Adam Ayan, so it was guaranteed to sound great.

Next, they planned ahead. They gave us enough time to set up and promote a pre-sale campaign and an in-store performance. That allowed us to help them spread the word about their album.

Planning ahead also let them get reviews to hit the papers the week the CD hit our shelves. That way most people were able to buy it as soon as they learned about it.

They also made sure they got their CDs pressed and to us about a week before it went on sale. A lot of bands forget about that so their fans go away empty-handed.

They had a mini CD release party at Bull Moose in Portland the day the CD was released. Their big CD release party will be at Port City Music Hall on 2/21 with Theodore Treehouse.

Let’s all congratulate Ghost of Paul Revere. It’s always great to see a band succeed.

Who will be #1 next week? We bet it will be Gunther Brown. Here’s this week’s list.
